This section highlights some of the artwork I have created as part of my membership of an online gaming team.
The Photon Raiders (=TPR=) started as a Star Wars Battlefront Clan, and we have members of all ages and nationalities. We also now play Battlefield2, 2142 and COD4.
We have an online forum where signature images are used to identify and personalise our postings
The following are a selection of my favourite sigs for my game name - wildcat, and some that I have created on request for other members.
My fist sig: Weapon of Mass Distraction.
A cropped in-game screenshot with text and logos overlaid, and prints in the snow added from an image that was skewed and faded to produce a shadow effect. The paw print font is Enobled Pet.
Scotland: TPR and Scots style icons, with name
in embossed 7th Service font.
DaddysGirl: TPR and Yorkshire icons, for a
different team member, with name in Nasalization
font.
Back to the WMD theme, integrating the Scottish and TPR icons with my favourite troopers from the game.
The frame was created using filled paths, filtered to add texture. The soldiers were removed from computer wallpaper backgrounds and embossed to add depth.
Josiane is a young French woman with a good sense of fun, and she is very pleased with my Star Wars interpretation of the popular advertising campaign.
Layer modes were adjusted to fade and overlap the insignia, while embossing was used to emphasise the troopers.
Retrohawk is the oldest member of the clan and this signature matches his name and battle style.
The frame is made to shine using a chrome effect that has had its hue adjusted.
Similar to the previous signature, but a darker theme needed a darker frame, and more sinister font.
Mirror and Wave Effects: Experimenting with Photoshop effects and imported actions.
Gold Text and Border, Explosion Effect: Time to update my own signature again! The Smiley was added by another clan member who awarded me the name - "Mistress O' Sigs".
