This site is here mainly just for the fun of it - there is no crucial information, no irrelevant advertising and (you may be relieved to know) no over-designed meaningless plugins to slow it down. It is really just a shameless promotion tool for my work, and a place to experiment when I get time to practise my web design skills.
Online CV Updated
After recent redundancy I am actively looking for work in the South Cumbria Area, and have updated my online CV to show my broad range of abilities as a web developer and designer.
The theme on my own site is simple because I generally have a very straightforward approach to user interfaces, but that does leave me with inspiration to spare for any project that needs to push the boundaries. And don't let the CV fool you - I highlight front end skills because I have alot of experience in standards based hand coding, usability and accessibility, but I am just as comfortable working with the database end of a system, and more than happy to learn new skills.
So please check out my CV and let me know if you have room in your office for a Furness based web geek.
Museum Site Goes Live
I was very proud to have been asked to design and create the web site
for the Auchindrain Museum in Argyll, Scotland. This is an extraordinary attraction,
which brings a historic "farming village" back to life.
I based the design on their brochure, which was supplied to me as a PDF. This made it
relatively easy to repurpose graphics and text into a smart design, with a neat navigational structure.
You can see my work and learn more about this great place to visit at www.auchindrain-museum.org.uk
